Melenağzı Beach is where the 110 km Melen River flows into the Black Sea. Here the Melen forms the border between Düzce and Sakarya.

It is a wide, natural shore. The cream of the water buffalo on the Melen plains is also the main ingredient of melengüççeği, Akçakoca's dessert with geographical indication.
