Akçakoca's villages have historic mosques built with the çantı technique, in which logs are interlocked without nails. This route starts at Çayağzı in the east, passes through the centre and ends in the villages of Hemşin and Uğurlu in the west. The mosques are open for worship; mind the prayer times.
